On page EA2.1 “Clean brick and stone up to first floor”. Comment: Clean brick and stone with gentlest method possible. Do not sandblast, use strong chemicals, or use wire brushes. See National Park Service Preservation Brief #1 Assessing Cleaning and Water-Repellant Treatments for Historic Masonry Buildings. On page EM1.0 there is a note for a “New panel MDP Square D QED PAD mounted NEMA32 switchboard.” Comment: Provide elevation and details of the screening. On page M1.0, there is a note to “Coordinate with architect for removal and reinstallation of brick walkway to allow for trenching to run refrigerant lines and electrical conduit” to new condenser locations. Comment: Remove brick by hand tools being mindful not to break historic brick. Stack in protected area to reduce theft of historic brick. Proved detail of section of brick walkway installation technique to match existing brick pattern.
