Curtis, I think this boils down to the question if ductwork is considered equipment that has to be screened from
view. What does the code say? Originally, they were approved for a fence that was approximately 13 feet tall to cover
the ductwork.

Good Morning Brian,
Please see the attached images below. As we discussed over the phone, I would like to propose lowering the
overall height of the wood fence around the mechanical yard to just enough to conceal the condensing units, and
paint the exposed ductwork running up the building in a matching paint color. I wasn't sure what was defined as
"equipment" when discussing elements that have to be concealed from view. I am hoping the ductwork can be
allowed to pop up above the fencing, especially if we paint it, as the City typically allows for other visible
mechanical elements, like kitchen exhaust fans.
