Hi Katy,
I am so glad you and Shelby found a roofing contractor that will do a thorough job for you on the house
and was willing to give you a good warranty on the workmanship. Hooray! I see the estimate is about
$3,500 higher than the first one you got, but it could easily cost a lot more than that to repair interior
water damage from a poorly installed roof, so I think you are well ahead on the money aspect. Attached
please find a copy of the approval letter for your building permit for the new roof. I cc’d Brian Minyard
over at the city on this email. Hard copy for you and Shelby to follow in the mail.
Hope you are having a great day and please let me know what else I can do to help!
Cheers,
Paul

Hi Paul,
After sharing your questions/comments with my husband we reached out for 2 additional
estimates. This is the guy that my husband has selected. It is a more expensive job but he comes
to us with a hearty recommendation from Carol Lou at Christ Episcopal. He has worked on
some church properties and she was very satisfied with his work. I reached out to Brian Minyard
2
and he said that once he gets an approval letter from you he can issue approval from his
Department. What are your thoughts on this proposal? I know Shelby had a lengthy discussion
about the ridge caps and skylight flashing and was satisfied with the answers he received but I
will have to ask him (Shelby) to contact you with those details if needed. Please advise, As far
as colors, James Roofing brought a slate to select from and we are taking a closer look at three
top picks (larger samples) When we looked into Tamco it seemed that there were some
complaints associated with their product. James recommended Atlas --

.
Thanks,
Katy
