The building was built in 1911 which is on the cusp of wood shakes and the new-fangled asphalt shingle roofs. If there is proof that there was wood shakes originally, I would suggest a medium brown architectural shingle that mimics that look of a wood shake roof. Your Heather Blend or Weathered Wood would be fine. Barring that evidence, a three tab would be more appropriate in the same colors. Architectural shingles are not ruled out. Craftsmen houses sometimes paired a buff brick or rock house with a red roof. It would be a daring choice, but, you would be appropriate with the Cottage Red.
