You are correct, painting existing guards means no public hearing.
If you change to other fencing options, all bets are off and you will go to the HDC.

Thanks. Since there is no COA, we will not need to appear before the HDC, correct? Just trying to be sure.
If we are exploring other fencing options, we will contact you.
Thanks.

Staff believes if you paint the frames around the units to match, this does not rise to the level of a COA. When you get
them painted, please let me know and I will issue you a COC Certificate of Compliance.

Brian M., do we still need to schedule to go before the HDC in September? If so, do we need anything further than to
schedule the time?
Thanks.

Hi Robert,
Attached please find the approval letter for the A/C equipment with the stipulation of painting the security cages grey.
Thank you for keeping us posted on whether or not other fencing may be added.
Cheers,
Paul

Thanks! Yes, we can paint the cages grey to match.
I’ll check to see if we are looking for additional fencing, if it was the installer. I’ll let you know if additional fencing is on
the radar.
Thank you very much.
Robert.

Hi Robert,
More than likely the installer put those security cages in place during installation thinking about securing the units so
they wouldn’t get ripped off, or have the copper parts stolen off of them. It’s understandable.
Brian Minyard and I talked it over and we think if those security frames over the a/c units were painted grey to match
the units that they would be much less noticeable. If you are agreeable to doing that, I can do the approval letter with
that stipulation in it. Let me know if that works for you.
Cheers,
Paul

Paul, and Brian & Brian:
I went by the church last evening to take some photos of what we have in place on the south side of the church, thinking
we would do something similar. Well, when I arrived, I saw the a/c enclosures were already completed and installed –
see attached photos. I did not know this was already completed. I told everyone we needed approval prior to placing
any new fencing or enclosures. I do not know who authorized the work at the moment.
I don’t know if anyone is planning for any further fencing options or not at the moment. If so, I will do my best to keep
you in the loop.
Let me know your thoughts and how to best proceed at the moment.
Thanks.
Robert.

Good morning Robert,
Do you have some cut sheets of the fencing design for us to look at? I went by the house on my monitoring tour a few
weeks ago and that new slate roof looks great!
Hope you have a great day today!
Cheers,
Paul

You probably need to get Paul Porter in on this. He is the easement coordinator.
Please get Paul’s approval before you go to the HDC. Your next filing date is August 11 th for the September 11, 2017
hearing.

Brian and Brian:
Good morning.
First Lutheran Church’s Cherry House had an air conditioning unit replaced recently. In order to allow for proper
ventilation and cooling of the unit, it had to be placed farther out from the remaining two units, on the west side of the
building. We had to remove a painted lattice fence from around the a/c units.
We would like to replace the fence with an iron fence, rather than the wooden lattice fencing. Although this is not a
direct replacement, we feel it would be better suited for the era of the building, in addition to increased security of the
a/c units. Do either one of you have any issues with the change from wooded lattice to iron fencing around the a/c
units?
We would like your approval before moving forward.
Thank you for your assistance and cooperation.
Thanks.
Robert.
