Taibi Kahler was just in my office and I gave him an application for the HDC. We sent him to you, Randy, and told him
that he would need to file an application with you also. I told him there was an facade easement on his property. If he
files immediately, he will be on the May 12, 2008 agenda. his filing deadline for us is April 6th.
of course, since I am on doctors orders not to speak, it is fun to write down everything you want to say.
anyway, be on the lookout Randy. I am sure you will be more effective in telling him about the facade easement and
sending him over tot Theresa Russell.
thanks

Brian-
Have you heard anything about/from Taibi Kahler?
I sent him a letter concerning his construction but it came back marked “vacant” unable to forward.
Any clues? I thought I’d call the tax assessor’s office next. Mona is checking out another possible source of info
also.
Thanks
Theresa

I had laryngitis for weeks but I can’t imagine not even squeaking out a sound now and then.
No, the owners have done nothing as far as I know. I spoke with Randy this morning and he didn’t say
they had filed anything with him, just that I had to go see what had been done. Just got back. Wow. I did
send out a letter last week but haven’t heard anything. Mona says I should phone them. I will later this
afternoon.
What a way to start my new job.
Nice to meet you also. Take care and I’ll “talk” to you later if I hear anything. Let me know if you hear
anything.

I can email up a storm, but no phone conversations for now. Doctors orders. This house is in the area
that Capitol Zoning and MacArthur Park share. I was out at a conference (listening only) on Thursday
and Friday.
If they put everything back the way it was, and if not in the CZDC shared area, I would issue them a
Certificate of Compliance, slap their hands and send them on their way. But they are not.
If they want to change the roof, that will cause lots of other issues, hearings at CZDC, MacArthur Park
and the easement issues.
has Randy said if they have filed anything with him? They have not filed anything with us. Have they told
Randy that they will put everything back?
keep me in the loop and I will do whatever is needed.
Nice to meet you via email.

Brian-
Mona Hughes gave me your name. I am the new Easement Coordinator at AHPP.

Randy Jeffrey alerted us to the changes the owners of this property are making to the roofline of
the house. Randy said he issued a stop-work order and has spoken with you.
I understand you are under the weather for a while and can’t talk but thought maybe we could
email if you are at work.
We have an easement on this property and would like to work with you in resolving this issue.
Thank you.
