ROCK PLANNING COMMISSION ON A REQUEST
FOR AMEND THE MASTER STREET PLAN
Alexander Road Neighborhood Association
Ms. Elaine Mitchell Crouse
#60 Natchez Lane,
PO.72002, Alexander, AR
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT an application for a Master Street Plan Amendment
to remove 4th Street (Alexander Road) south of Alexander Road has been filed with the
Department of Planning and Development. The proposed change is from Minor Arterial
to Local Street from Alexander Road to Vine Street Intersection. The application was
filed by Holloway Engineering, Surveying & Civil Design, PLLC. A public hearing will be
held by the Little Rock Planning Commission in the Board of Directors Chamber, second
floor, City Hall, on December 15, 2016 at 4:00 P.M. This notice is provided in order to
assure that neighborhood associations are aware of issues that may affect their
neighborhood. Information requests should be directed to the Planning staff at 371-
4790.
Minor Arterial:
A Minor Arterial provides connections to and through an urban area and their primary
function is to provide short distance travel within the urbanized area.
Local Streets:
A Local Street is to provide access to adjacent property. The movement of traffic is a
secondary purpose. Residential street use by heavy trucks and busses should be
minimized. The Local Street generally has a right-of-way of 50 feet. In suburban
location with larger acreage single family tracts, Local Streets may be designed with
paved shoulders and open space drainage. In the case of short residential streets, a
lesser standard is allowed.
Sincerely,
Ozlem Polat
Planner
