Dear Miss James,
In my previous email to you, I encourange you and the other members of the Plannng Committee to
take some time to enjoy a drive through Fletcher's Hollow, once the leaves change to brilliant fall
colors. I am sending this attachment, which is a video, in case you have not had yet had a chance to
take the drive.
What you see in this video is what we are fighting to save. Please, please don't let this be our last Fall
season to have this beautiful separation from "town".
I honestly believe losing this beautiful drive will literally break the "heart" of our community. If the
Developer is allowed to do what he wants this will be gone. Please keep in mind that once this is
gone, it'gone forever. It can never come back. I recently saw Mr. Ritchie on KATV's news report and
the words he said that bothered me the most were, " Look at Little Rock, it only has one way to go
and that is West, so they just need to get ready for it." Wow! I live just one mile from the Saline
County Line (inside Pulaski County). Those of us who live out here have chosen to live "OUT" here.
We don't want the city in the country.
I hope the attendance of concerned citizens of West Pulaski County who showed up to the last
meeting gave you all a clear message, that we want Fletcher's Hollow left as is. This short drive is
one of a kind in Pulaski County and I pray you will allow it to be preserves as is.
Please take two minutes to watch this video.

Dear Mr. James,
I am David Snowden, and I live on Cascade Creek Rd . 72223 . I support
the amendment that would keep Kanis Rd . west of Little Rock running through the Fletcher Creek bottoms as it is today
. I believe it is the most attractive road leaving Little Rock headed west that exist today, and I believe it would be a
shame for the city as a whole to change that . I hope you will do what you can to protect this pretty artery by supporting
the amendment . Thank you for your consideration .

I write to personally support amending the LR Master Street Plan that would keep Kanis Road west through Fletcher's
Hollow as is. When we moved out that way last year, it was in no small part due to the beautiful drive through that
stretch of Kanis. The canopy over the road is a natural treasure and should be preserved.

• 1 have lived on Kanis Rd. in Ferndale since 1968 and the section that we call, Fletcher Hollow could
almost be called an Historic stretch of road. As a little girl my family drove out that section when it had
what was called "the dips", which have been removed. We kids loved the drive then as I do now. It is
almost a yearly drive for most of Little Rock citizenry . We have so little left of the good , peaceful ,
quiet areas that is devoid of noise, traffic, congestion, etc. lets keep this two mile stretch. We of the
old group know which hill in the hollow to put the car in neutral to coast the last mile of this part of
Kanis. Let us keep this section and forget money, money, money. Thanks for consideration.

I write in support of any amendment that will keep the stretch of Kanis that goes through
Fletcher Creek as it.
Change is the root of progress. But there are good changes that lead to good progress and
bad changes that lead to bad progress. Changing this stretch of road would be a bad change.
The area around and West of Fletcher Creek is rural, it is horse country. It is not a subdivision
that would be more appropriate in Mid town.
Leave this last stretch of scenic road as it is.

This road is such an important part of West Pulaski cty, I would be sad to see it disturbed. I am not
against progress but I feel sure some measures can be taken to preserve this road. It was originally
used to heard cattle to market from areas west. the stagecoach used this road. The stage coach
house still stands on Kanis Rd near Ferndale. PLEASE preserve Fletcher Creek Hollow.

Good Morning Donna,
This email is for the support of Fletcher Hollow on Kanis Road. We travel this road daily, (usually several times
each day). The Beauty of this road is a treasure to West Pulaski County. The Citizens of the County and Little Rock have
few of these Treasures left that are undisturbed by Developers. The Diversity and Changing Colors of each season is a
site to behold and look forward to each year.
Please pass this email on to board members or anyone that will help the cause to preserve Fletcher Hollow and
Fletcher Creek on Kanis Road.
With gratitude,

Dear Ms. James:
I am a resident of Chenal Downs and am writing you to show my support for the amendment to the
Little Rock Master Street Plan to maintain Kanis Road through Fletcher's Hollow as it is today. Kanis
Road is one of the most beautiful drives in Pulaski County. The thought of destroying the natural
canopy of trees along the road to accommodate a high-density housing development is just
devastating.
Thank you for your consideration.
Sincerely,

Proposed amendment to master street plan
We are writing in support of the proposal to amend the city's master street plan in a way to
maintain Kanis Road through Fletcher Hollow as it is now.
This beautiful stretch of road is unique in many ways, including a forested canopy that took the
better part of a century to grow and the abundant deer, turkeys and other wildlife we often see
from the road.
It would be a shame not to preserve and share this natural treasure with future generations.
I hope the City of Little Rock will decide to keep Fletcher Hollow intact.
Sincerely,
John and Mary Hightower
