HomeMy WebLinkAboutworking ordinance draftI ORDINANCE NO. 2 3 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE MASTER 4 STREET PLAN (20,117); ADDING TWO BIKE 5 PATHS, EIGHT BIKE LANES, AND SEVERAL BIKE 6 ROUTES TO THE MASTER STREET BIKE PLAN 7 MAP (MSP14-04) AND FOR OTHER MATTERS. 8 9 WHEREAS, the Bicycle Friendly Community Committee recommended 10 addition of several Bike Paths, Lanes and Routes to the Plan Map; and, 11 12 WHEREAS, the Planning Commission after review at a public hearing 13 recommends the additions. 14 15 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF 16 DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: 17 18 Section 1. Amend the Master Street Plan text, under "Section 5: Bicycle 19 Plan Map" is amended to add for future development are proposed Class I Bike 20 Paths: 21 • Corridor along rail line from Interstate Park to River via Rose Creek 22 ■ Coleman Creek corridor from UALR to Lee Avenue 23 24 Section 2. Amend the Master Street Plan text, under "Section 5: Bicycle 25 Plan Map" is amended to add for future development are proposed Class II Bike 26 Lanes: 27 • 9th Street from Interstate 30 to Main Street 28 ■ Louisiana from 4th Street to I-630 29 s Center Street from Markham to I-630 30 • 7th Street from Rock to Woodrow 31 • Chester Street from Interstate 630 to Roosevelt Road 32 s Main Street from 7th Street to Roosevelt Road 33 • LaMarche Drive, south of Taylor Loop Road 34 ■ Taylor Loop Road from LaMarche Drive to Rahling Road 35 [Page 1 of 3] 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 33 Section 3. Amend the Master Street Plan text, under "Section 5: Bicycle Plan Map" is amended to add for future development are proposed Class III Bike Routes: • Louisiana from 4th Street to Markham • Commerce from 17th Street to 9th Street • Sherman from 91h Street to 6th Street • 7th Street from Cumberland to Sherman • State from I-630 to River Trail. Section 4. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or word of this ordinance is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the ordinance which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the ordinance. Section 5. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same that are inconsistent with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
