This would add a proposed path to the Plan Map. (There is no proposal at this time to construct these paths.) Staff is reviewing the addition of two Class I Bike Paths to the Bike Plan Map: one along Jamison Creek from the River Trail to Foxcroft; and one along Coleman Creek from UALR to Lee Avenue. You are invited to a meeting Wednesday, March 5, 2014 to discuss these additions. Staff will be available from 5:00 to 7:00 PM for your convenience to drop -by and discuss the changes. A Class I Bike Path is a paved path for the use of bicycles and they may be along a street or an independent path such as along a creek. This meeting will be at the Fletcher Library, 823 North Buchanan Street. The proposal is to add to the Plan Map the concept of a Class I route along Coleman. As you are aware the creek is in the concrete ditch for portions of the alignment. There is no design to share at this time. If this is added to the Plan, you would need to stay involved as the City looks in the future as to how to make the connection proposed. I am interested in the location of any proposed right-of- way needed for the Bike Lanes, and how this may affect the property owned by the Louis and June Nalley Revocable Trust. Can you provide me with any drawings as related to this property? Will the proposed Bike Lane be on the east or west side of Coleman creek? Is it the intent of the City of Little Rock to use the right of eminent domain condemnation, as needed, to insure the desired right-of-way? Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
