It is item 14 on the agenda http;l/www.littlerock.orqJBoardOfDirectors/MeetingAgendas/Agendas/AGEN DA°/a20-°/o2OWEB°/o20-°/n207-21- 20151Agenda%20-%20J u ly%2021, %202015. htm I am not going to be able to attend, as I am home taking care of Mary this week. She is recovering from major back surgery (fusion) and I can't leave her for more than 30 minutes or she gets up and starts doing things for herself, which she is not supposed to do. Can a couple of you guys make it to the meeting to be there to field questions? Thanks in advance. It passed. The second was to update the LR Bike Master plan, which I believe is a requirement for becoming a Bike Friendly Community. It also passed, with some minor changes to Louisiana and Chester. The class three lanes on these roads were opposed by a local business that does not want them, so it has been kicked back to staff for review. In reality these streets are one way, much of the bike lane is already in place on Louisiana, all that is being omitted by this change are some sharrows and signs, and the traffic on these two streets is low and slow except at rush hour, so this is really not a big concession on the part of the master plan - cyclists will ride the road whether it has sharrows or not, and we will probably get sharrows on different streets ultimately. So congratulations to everyone who worked to make this happen. Especially to those who were able to make the meeting tonight. And thanks to Mason Ellis for representing us at the podium tonight. He did a fine job and made us look good. We are inching our way forward and will hopefully someday become a bike friendly community. I will let you know as soon as we get info regarding when construction will begin on the two ends of closing the loop.
