RE: Interview on Newsradio 1029 KARN
Pretty much it! Just looking for information on what it's about and how it will work. If there's anything else that you
think might be interesting, let me know and I'll ask you about it.
Looking forward to talking to you.
Thanks,
Kevin

My desk number is 371-6819. The main number here is 371-4790 (but it will not be answered before 8 AM). I will be at
my office by 7:45 tomorrow to make the call.
So you would like to know how this Policy would change how the City does business in the future. (the simple answer is
I
t changes the way Staff will look at design. We will now ask why a mode is not present and/or is it safe for all modes.
`+ Then if it is not either modify the design to do that or say why it can not be modified).
Anything else you need from me?
Walter

Walter,
We can do it by phone. That would be the easiest for you. The call in number is 821-2719. Just plan to call in at 7:50.
Also is there a number where I can reach you also?
Absolutely understand about the streets not being planning yet but it's a project that may move forward. I just want to
find out more about the project and what we'll likely see in the future. Would love for you to explain the process so
people will know.
Thanks,
1

I just need to let me know what time and where you would like me to be. I do have a 9 AM meeting tomorrow morning.
Let me clarify that no specific street has been planned. The Policy means that as the City designs or re -designs a street.
Staff (Public Works Staff) will take all modes into consideration with the design and if all modes can not be
accommodated Staff will indicate why. This will also be true when Staff (Public Works Staff) reviews the designs of
private developers, etc. for streets prior to their construction and city acceptance.

Mr. Malone,
If possible, I would like to do a short interview with you on air tomorrow morning about the user friendly streets. I'm
looking for some basic information such as what streets, when will the project start, will it work along with
businesses/right of ways, etc. If you can think of anything I should ask I'm certainly open to that too. If you'd get back to
me as soon as you can I would appreciate it. I would like to have you on at 7:52am.
Thank you,
Kevin Miller
