FOR THE 5 PURCHASE OF MOBILE DISPATCH AND MAPPING SOFTWARE, 6 AS PART 3 OF 3 PARTS, FOR THE LITTLE ROCK FIRE 7 DEPARTMENT MOBILE DATA COMPUTER PROJECT; AND FOR 8 OTHER PURPOSES. N 10 WHEREAS, the Little Rock Fire Department is committed to improving response 11 capabilities and the service that is provided to the citizens of Little Rock, and 12 WHEREAS, in order to accomplish this goal, the LRFD must incorporate new 13 and proven technologies to their response system, and 14 WHEREAS, after careful research and consideration, the LRFD has chosen a 15 technologically advanced system that will provide a voiceless /visual image dispatch 16 display, a GIS routing and mapping display software system with functionality and 17 capacity required for the LRFD environment, and automatic vehicle location (AVL) 18 capability, and 19 WHEREAS, Invitation to Bid No. 6228 was issued for the purchase of mobile 20 dispatch and mapping software, as Part 3 of the Little Rock Fire Department Mobile 21 Data Computer Project, and GeoComm, Inc. submitted the most responsive and 22 responsible bid in the amount of Fifty -seven Thousand, Nine Hundred Twenty -five and 23 87/100 Dollars ($57,925.876). 24 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF 25 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: 26 // [PAGE 1 OF 21 Resolution To authorize purchase of mobile dispatch and mapping Software for LRFD 1 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a contract with 2 GeoComm, Inc. for the purchase of mobile dispatch and mapping software, in the 3 amount of Fifty -seven Thousand, Nine Hundred Twenty -five and 87/100 Dollars 4 ($57,925.87). 5 Section 2. Funds for the entire project are available as follows: 70% 6 ($392,280.00) through a 2004 FEMA Assistance to Firefighters Grant, and 30% ($168,120) 7 match through the City's Grant Matching Account #210 - 340 -Z021. 8 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, 9 clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or 10 unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining 11 portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so 12 declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the 13 resolution. 14 Section 4. Repealer.
