Subject: Pinnacle Valley Corridor
I am writing this email concerning information we received about the expansion of the Pinnacle Valley
Corridor. We own the property at 5800 Pinnacle Valley Road. We are opposed to any major expansion
to Pinnacle Valley Road. The existing houses are too close to the street for an expansion of this size.
We can understand maybe having two lanes with an additional biking area or maybe having three lanes
with one of the lanes being a turn lane. A five lane road for this area is not necessary at all.
Please take our request into consideration and do not spend more money than is necessary on this
project. We have many other areas in the city that need improvements.
Thank you.

Mr. Malone,
RE: MSP12-01/Improvements for Pinnacle Valley Road
As a resident of Pinnacle Valley Subdivision accessed by Pinnacle Valley
Road, the proposed improvement of Pinnacle Valley Road north from
Cantrell Road to the City limits to 2 lanes with shoulders on both sides is
consistent with the roadway north of the City limits in Pulaski County.
To improve the roadway to 5 lanes will negatively impact all of the
residential owners along the City portion of the road. The two travel
lanes and two shoulders provides consistency in the roadway within the
City/County and certainly will enhance the safety of the bikers/walkers
along that portion of Pinnacle Valley Road which currently is treacherous
and can be intimidating to both vehicular drivers and the bikers/walkers.
Since prior commitments on Thursday, March 15, 2012 at 4:00 PM will
keep me from attending the Little Rock Planning Commission meeting,
please share this input with the Planning commission.

Re: MSP12-01
Mr Malone;
As the Secretary -Treasurer of the Pinnacle Valley Court POA I
would like to go on record as in strong support of the change to the
Master Plan concerning the widening of Pinnacle Valley Road. Our
POA represents the largest single group of home owners on Pinnacle
Valley Road, with 29 homes in our subdivision. At our last POA
meeting the widening was discussed with our developer, with the
worst case scenario being used. We were all in agreement that we
would be against any attempt to widen the road to 4 lanes, as it
would put the edge of the road against our back fence. We feel that
2 lanes with paved shoulders (bike paths) would not only
complement the expenditure that the county has made on the
northern part of the road, but it would greatly improve safety for
cyclists and the runners who use Pinnacle Valley Road.

Dear Mr. Malone:
'r MAR 1 Z012
Thank you for the opportunity to express my opinion regarding the future construction of
Pinnacle Valley Road from County Farm Road to Cantrell Road (MSP 12-01).
When my wife and I built our retirement home in Pinnacle Valley Court, we were assured
that Pinnacle Valley Road south to the railroad tracks to Cantrell Road would not become
a five -lane industrial road. I have no doubt that this would have an deleterious impact on
the quality of life in Pinnacle Valley Court and other adjacent neighborhoods as well as a
negative effect on all property values.
For those of us who make our home here, any negative impact on our delightful
environment would be most upsetting.
Thank you for your time.
Sincerely,
Bargerew

RE: MSP12-01
Dear Mr. Malone:
My wife, my 20 month old son and I are new residents at 2 Ison Creek Cove, which is adjacent
to Pinnacle Valley Road. I have reviewed your letter of February 15, 2012 after first receiving it
on March 3, 2012 and ask that you please accept this letter in support of the Master Street Plan
amendment, which would improve the road south of the railroad tracks to the same standard as
that already constructed north of the tracks, rather than to four or five lanes under the current
Master Street Plan.
The current Master Street Plan calling for the road to be widened to either four travel lanes and a
median or a five -lane section is troubling to me and my family for a number of reasons. First, I
do not see why it would be necessary or cost effective to widen the road to this extent. My
bedroom window actually looks out onto Pinnacle Valley Road and there is currently very little
traffic on the road, even during peak travel times in the morning and the afternoon. In fact, I was
surprised to hear that there was a Master Street Plan calling for this expansion after spending
time in this area. It is a quiet, peaceful area of town, very much unlike the more serious traffic
Little Rock residents encounter every day on Chenal Parkway and 1-630. A four or five lane
highway at Pinnacle Valley Road would not alleviate any traffic problems, since there are none
at this time.
In addition, widening the road to four or five lanes would cause a safety hazard for many
property owners along Pinnacle Valley Road. For example, if the City were to widen the road up
to the property and/or fence line of my subdivision, Pinnacle Valley Court Subdivision, this
would put the property owners along Pinnacle Valley Road at an increased risk for motor vehicle
accidents, personal injury and property damage, -because vehicle traffic would now be passing
even closer to a residential neighborhood where children could be playing in the backyard. As a
father of a 20 month old son, this is what scares me the most about a four or five lane highway
passing immediately behind my yard where my son could be playing. Finally, I can't imagine
the amount of trees that would need to be cut down and utility lines that would have to be re-
routed to accommodate the construction of a four or five lane highway through this very quiet
and beautiful part of our state.
The amended Master Street Plan would a much better, safer and cost-effective option for future
construction of Pinnacle Valley Road from County Farm Road to Cantrell Road. Two lanes of
vehicle traffic with bike lanes on each side would be consistent with what has already been done
north of the railroad tracks. It would also be of much more benefit to the residents in the area
because it would serve to promote a healthy lifestyle by encouraging the residents to bike ride
along Pinnacle Valley Road past the City Limits, and enjoy nature. A four or five lane highway
would only destroy the scenic beauty found in this area and would serve no benefit to the
residents along Pinnacle Valley Road or visitors who come to our state to observe the natural
setting we as Arkansans brag about, when we call our state, the "Natural State."
Thank you for giving me the opportunity to express to you my feelings and the feelings of my
family regarding the proposed amendment. I sincerely hope that the Master Street Plan will be
amended to two lanes with bike paths on each side and our neighborhood continues to be a safe
and beautiful one.
Sincerely,
Tony A. DiCarlo, III, Esq.

Dear City of Little Rock,
My name is Nicholas Alsop and I am the President of the Pinnacle Valley
Neighborhood Association. We represent the households along Pinnacle Valley Road
from Cantrell Road to the Railroad Tracks in the city limits. This is the Eastern
boundary of our association. The Northern boundary is the railroad tracks, the Western
Boundary is Tulley Cove, and the Southern Boundary is Cantrell Road. We represent
126 households.
We are in favor of revising the designation of Pinnacle Valley Road on the Little Rock
Master StreetPlan from a 5 -lane road to a 2 -lane road and we request that the city
straightens out the dangerous curve and add a guard rail as well to that curve.
