volume increases are not likely. A two-lane road with limited turns can easily
carry volumes well over those currently on the road.
Bicycle traffic does use Pinnacle Valley Road and with the connection to the
River Trail with Two Rivers Bridge is likely to increase. For safety, a road with
shoulders where bicycles could have their own lane (on the shoulder) would be
an improvement.
NEIGHBORHOOD COMMENTS:
Notices were sent to the forty-seven adjacent property owners as well as the
Pinnacle Valley and River Valley Neighborhood Associations. Staff has received
informational calls from area residents as well as several supportive contacts.
STAFF RECOMMENDATIONS:
Staff believes the change is appropriate.
