The City of Little Rock is considering changing the classification of Chester north of La Harpe continuing across the Arkansas River as a Minor Arterial. This is the classification of Chester currently has south of LaHarpe to Wright Avenue. The standard for such a road is a 90 -foot right-of-way with four or five travel lanes. The Little Rock Planning Commission will consider this classification change at their meeting on Thursday, March 15, 2012. The Commission meets at 4:00 PM in the City Board Chambers, second floor of City Hall, 500 West Markham. If you have comments either against or for this proposed change, please send them to Walter Malone, 723 West Markham, Little Rock, Arkansas 72201 (wmalone@littlerock.org). Please refer to MSP12-01 in any correspondence. Any comments received prior to the public hearing on March 15 will be shared with the Planning Commission. You are also welcome to attend the hearing and speak to the Commission in either support or opposition to this change.
