Wlater,
We'll rate them all Class 2 then. Once the BFCC stuff gets settled, I will send out the email you and I discussed
recommending that they be revised to Class 2 lanes. We'll incorporate feedback, then revise the plan and go.
Thanks for the help on this Walter.

I am just saying that if the reason for them not to be a Class III is either high speed or high volume then they
should all be changed. One if not both is true for these routes. A Class I would require more ROW and paving
and I thought the group was trying to get a system in place at lower costs.
So the best option if all of this is true is to either develop an alternate route that does the same thing on lower
volume/speed roads and/or to have the bike routes be class II.

If the issue for the change is either high speed of vehicles or high volume of vehicles then none should be Class
3. Class 1 would require additional ROW, therefore I would stay away from Class 1, if possible. Either an
alternate location (parallel) or Class 2 would be my suggestion.

Walter,
There are a lot of these I am not familiar with. Can you make a recommendation as to which should be changed
to Class 1 and which to Class 2? Are any of them okay as a Class 3?

Ed, here is the list of Class III on Arterials (I might have missed one some place
but think it is complete).
<<CLASS III on Arterials.doc>>
Note that some are outside the City Limits (we can not sign out there but could ask
the county to sign them). If it is noted that the route is 'proposed to upgrade to
Class II', that means that the 'Implementation Plan' shows as Class II but the
Master Plan shows as a Class II. So should be upgraded at some point.
