City of Little Rock Bicycle Friendly Community Committee Members,
You will recall at our January meeting I requested that committee members review
the City of Little Rock Bike Plan (distributed at the meeting) & suggest revisions.
The attached file contains suggested revisions to section 6 of the plan that I
received earlier today from Gene Pfeifer. Gene had sent these revisions to me
earlier but the e-mail went to an incorrect e-mail address that got picked up from
another thread of e-mails that had my address incorrectly stated.
Here are pertinent parts of Gene's e-mail to me that help to explain his work on the
revisions -
"I have had an opportunity to do some work on the Bike Plan. I have attached my
redline version [Section 6 - attached] and a version accepting my changes. I think
my definitions, in particular improve the plan in that previous definitions varied
throughout the plan. I have also made some formatting changes that may improve
the plan. I have not done any work on the map itself.
If you like, you can circulate the redline version as it may stimulate some others to put in
some time on the sections I have not attacked yet (so marked) and I would welcome
that feedback."
I urge committee members to review Gene's revisions & to also undertake a review of
the Bike Plan, including the map. At the meeting on Wednesday we will discuss
establishing a process for accomplishing a comprehensive review of the Bike Plan.
