plan amendments and this is his response.

Tony,
I was disappointed that we have not been able to get staff's support for any
component of the proposed development plan for Rahling Road at Wellington
Plantation Drive. We had developed the plan in conjunction with Larry Petermari with
the Hitchcock Design Group. We are all convinced that this project, when developed
as planned by Deltic will be an asset= to Chenal Valley and the surrounding
neighborhoods. The office and commercial uses will be on a neighborhood scale and
designed to serve the nearby residents. The plan as proposed includes single
family, multifamily, and mixed office commercial uses. A large portion of the plan
is natural buffer and open space.
The plan provides for the connection of two collectors to Rahling Road. A lot of
residents in the area have been waiting years for these connections which are part
of the master street plan. This plan provides for the connection of Beckenham to
Rahling. This connection will not happen if the two parcels are not developed as
one tract. As you know Beckenham has been constructed several hundred feet South of
it's original location and will now never connect directly to Rahling. A
comprehensive plan like this is crucial if the street network is to be completed.
If you have some time free tomorrow afternoon I think it would be very helpful to
meet and have an open discussion of this proposal. I will check with Larry and
while we can't get him back from Chicago we can probably get him on a speaker
phone.
