Subject: MSP Revison - Rahliing Road
Walter,
We are agreeable to a deferral of the proposed MSP revision. As we discussed today over the phone,
Beckenham can not be extended to Rahling on Deltic's property due to its present vertical and horizontal
alignment. I have attached a plan that shows the two ownerships. Deltic was prepared to construct Beckenham
on the alignment shown on the preliminary plat for Chenal Ridge. I am pretty certain the Joint Venture was willing
to extend one collector from Wellington to Rahling.
I more certain the Joint Venture will object to having both collectors on their property. If you remember the MSP
states "access to adjacent property is a secondary function of collector streets" so there is not a lot of motivation
for owners to build them through residential areas.
The way the two collectors have been constructed, we need to work collectively on how they can feasibly be
extended to Rahling Road. The people on Pebble Beach expect us all to work toward the connection of the other
two collectors.
I hope this has helped define the issue under consideration.
