3 AN ORDINANCE TO VACATE AND ABANDON PORTIONS OF
4 GRANT STREET AND "G" STREET RIGHT -OF -WAY LOCATED
5 ADJACENT TO BLOCK 9 AND THE WEST HALF OF BLOCK 10,
6 LINCOLN PARK ADDITION, NORTH OF "F" STREET AND WEST
7 OF UNIVERSITY AVENUE, IN THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK AS A
8 PUBLIC RIGHT -OF -WAY; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS, a request was made to abandon a portion of the public right -of -way
11 located adjacent to Block 9 and the West half of Block 10, Lincoln Park Addition, North of "F"
12 Street and West of University Avenue, pursuant to the City's general police power
13 authority under Ark. Code Ann. § 14 -54 -104;
14 WHEREAS, the Board has determined that the abandoning of this portion of the
15 public right -of -way will not have an adverse impact on the adjacent property owners
16 nor the local traffic, and therefore, the right -of -way abandoned by this ordinance is no
17 longer needed for corporate purposes except as otherwise noted below.
18 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
19 OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
20 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby releases, vacates, and abandons the
21 portion of the said right of way located adjacent to Block 9 and the West half of Block
22 10, Lincoln Park Addition, North of "F" Street and West of University Avenue, together
23 with the right of public in general, in the City of Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas.
24 Section 2. The City specifically reserves the public utility easements within the
25 former right -of -way.

Section 3. A copy of this ordinance duly certified by the City Clerk, shall be filed
in the real estate records of the recorder of the Circuit Clerk in ex officio recorder of
Pulaski County, Arkansas.
Section 4. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item,
sentence, clause, phrase, or word of this ordinance is declared or adjudged to be invalid
or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining
portions of the ordinance which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so
declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
ordinance.
Section 5. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same
that are inconsistent with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed to the
extent of such inconsistency.
