Re: MSP07-04, University Avenue, Markham to Cantrell design standard
Dear Neighborhood Representative;
The City of Little Rock is reviewing a Master Street Plan Amendment to change the
design standards for University Avenue, north of Markham. The proposal is to reduce
the right-of-way requirements for University Avenue from 110 feet to 100 feet, reducing
the center median design from 14 feet to 4 feet in width. The final design would remain
for six through -lanes and sidewalks on both sides of the road. There would be additional
right-of-way and lanes at intersections to allow for right and left tarn lanes.
A change to the Master Street Plan does not change the zoning of any land nor does it
change the assessment of tax purposes. To comment on the proposed change you may
send written comments to our office (723 West Markham, Little Rock Arkansas 72201,
attention Walter Malone) fax (501)-399-3435 or email wmalone@,littlerock.org. There is
a public hearing before the Little Rock Planning Commission scheduled for 4 P.M. on
July 10, 2008 to review the proposed amendment. You are welcome to attend this
meeting and voice your opinions to the Commission.
