The change would reduce the amount of right-of-way the City's plan says is needed for University. This means to
you if you were to ask for a change on your property the City would not ask as much land to do any future
widening. If you do nothing more that what you are currently doing on the property, this would likely just be an
`academic' process.

Mr. Malone,
We received a notice from your office regarding a Master Street Plan Amendment to change the design
standards for University Avenue, north of Markham. Dr. Dean Kumpuris and his family own property at
415 and 417 North University Avenue, which would be included in the plan amendment. The notice we
received states that it will not change the zoning of the land nor will it change the assessment for tax
purposes. Can you briefly explain how this proposed change would affect the Kumpuris's properties?

I had a quick talk with Vince and we looked at the survey with the PCD file and it appears
the Midtowne development is in conformance with the proposed amendment. So I do
not think you need to be here, unless you just want to come up for a visit.

Walter, I received the letter proposing to reduce the
University ROW north of Markham. I don't recall how
we addressed the ROW along our side of Midtowne in
regard to the wall. Is that something you can tell me in
an email or do you think I should attend the Plan
Commission meeting?
