The Department of Planning and Development has been in the process of reviewing the Master Street Plan for the area along Pinnacle Valley Road from Highway 10 to County Farm Road. The proposed changes are a result of discussions and review by city staff. There is a proposal to reduce the standards required by the Master Street Plan for this portion of Pinnacle Valley Road. Pinnacle Valley Road is currently shown as a Minor Arterial on the Master Street Plan, with four lanes and a median or five lanes, both with curb and gutters. The amendment would reduce the minimums to a two-lane road with paved shoulders and not require curb and gutter. A change to the Master Street Plan does not change your zoning or taxes. The change will be taken before the Planning Commission and later to the Board of Directors. The Planning Commission meeting is held at City Hall at 4:00 p.m. on November 8, 2007.
