Attached you should find a copy of the application to remove Labette from the Master
Street Plan from Labette Manor to John Barrow Road. Also there is a graphic showing
the proposal.
This does not mean the road will or will not be connected. What is being asked for is that
the alignment be removed from the Street Plan. If this happens the City would not
require the connection as part of the development of the surrounding property. The
connection could still be made. It does not forbid the connection. The request would
only mean that the City would not be working to assure there was a connection in the
future.
The John Barrow Neighborhood Association has made this request and they are
responsible for all notifications. The request is scheduled to be heard by the Little Rock
Planning Commission at their meeting on May 11, 2006. That meeting starts at 4:00 PM
in the Board Chambers on the 2nd floor of City Hall, 500 West Markham.
