This submittal is for the proposed Church at Rock Creek located at West 36th Street and
northwest corner of Interstate 40. This request is for an amendment to the Master Street
Plan to have the proposed boulevard removed from the previous POD approval.
The new master plan for this property no longer has a connection to Bowan Road. The
reason for no longer having the connection is 1) The church now wishes to have a
campus design for the property and does not wish to have the extra traffic entering and
existing through the site 2) The church did have a contract with the neighboring property
owner for the proposed boulevard. The contract was a 36 -month agreement for
construction of the proposed boulevard to Bowan Road. The contract is now void due to
the fact that the time has expired. The church does not wish to try and renegotiated with
property owner at this time.
The church will now have two entry/exist drives both from West 36th Street One drive are
currently existing and the second will be located at the southwest corner of property. An
internal loop with serves as means for vehicular circulation.
