Dear Kwendeche,
Thank you for coming by my office today. Your application for a Land Use Plan
Amendment, LU08-08-01, at 2410 South Battery Street will be heard before the
Planning Commission on June 19, 2008.

Prompted by this Land Use Amendment request, the Planning Staff expanded
the area of review to include the area located at the southwest, southeast and
northwest corners of Summit and Roosevelt Road. With these changes, the
whole corner would be changed from Single Family to Mixed Use to recognize
existing commercial zoning of these propoerties. It is thought that the additional
area would make the boundaries more logical. A change to the Land Use Plan
does not change a property's zoning or taxes. Planning Staff does expand land
use plan amendments on a regular basis as staff sees fit and staff's write up will
acknowledge that part of the amendment area was suggested by Staff.
Your amendment will be item 6 on the agenda. The Planning Commission does
request that you or your agent be present.
