Right now it is scheduled for the January 5, 2006 hearing of the Planning Commission. The
neighborhood can request that the Commission deferred, denied or approved the item(s) at
the hearing. Of course written comments will be sent to the Commission prior to the
meeting if they are received more than a week prior to the meeting.
As an individual or as the neighborhood organization you can send those comments in.

I did remember that a "formal" staff recommendation would not be issued until a week prior
to the meeting. That's why I thought that I would solicit your unofficial recommendation.
In my opinion, if the land use plan calls for residential, then it should stay that way.
Neighborhoods do need commercial but that is not a good location for the proposed use.
What's the process for the neighborhood to at least get this item deferred until the next
planning commission meeting?

Terri,
Z-7965 is a Planned Zoning District not an 0-1 rezoning. There is also a Land Use Plan
Amendment with this item, since the Plan current shows Single Family for the sites in
question.
Since this is a POD, design as well as use will be issues. Now that I have said all that,
you remember as a former member of this department that recommendation are not given until
a week prior to the meeting. So check back with us around December 29, 2005.
