The Commercial Land Use Plan classification states that if you want to change the zoning of your property - C-1, C-2, C-3 and C-4 would be appropriate without changing the Plan. The change in the future Land Use Plan for your property would be to Mixed Use. This classification says that Commercial, Office or Residential or any combination of the three would be appropriate as long as a Planned Zoning District process was used to change the zoning. As long as you can develop or re -develop your property with the current zoning - meeting the setbacks, parking, use, etc., then you do not have to worry about the Land Use classification. You would just come and get your building permit. Enclosed are maps showing the areas of change being considered. If you have any comments about any of the changes, please feel free to contact me. We will be taking comments on the package of changes to mid-July. At that point a decision to process or not will be made. If your property remains in the package of changes, then you will receive a notice of when a hearing would be held before the Planning Commission to consider the Land Use change. If you have any question or comments, please feel free to contact me. Sincerely, JIAfVV Walter Malone, AICP Planning Manager
