RESOLUTION NO. 12,270
3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH TENNANT SALES AND SERVICE
5 COMPANY FOR THE PURCHASE OF ONE (1) HIGH -SIDE DUMP
6 MECHANICAL STREET SWEEPER FOR THE PUBLIC WORKS
7 DEPARTMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

9 WHEREAS, the Fleet Service Department is in need of one (1) high -side dump
10 mechanical street sweeper for the Public Works Department, and
11 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock has contracted with the Texas Multiple
12 Award Schedule State Contract, #TXMAS- 3- 23V030, for the purchase of the street
13 sweeper, and the lowest responsible and responsive bid item on the contract would be
14 in the amount of One Hundred Fifty Thousand, Nine Hundred Fifty and 11/100 Dollars
15 ($150,950.11).
16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
17 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
18 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter
19 into a contract with Tennant Sales and Service Company, through the Texas Multiple
20 Award Schedule State Contract, for the purchase of one (1) high -side dump mechanical
21 street sweeper, in the amount of One Hundred Fifty Thousand, Nine Hundred Fifty
22 and 11/100 Dollars ($150,950.11).
23 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are to be allocated from 2006 Public Works
24 Short Term Financing.
25 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence,
26 clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or

unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining
portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so
declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
resolution.
Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that
are inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent
of such inconsistency.
