Dear UAMS:
Phancel lors, (_;,[ i.
The Department of Planning.and Development is in the process of reviewing the Land Use Plan for an area in and
around your property. The proposed changes are a result of the Capitol View/Stifft's Station Neighborhood Action
Plan. A Land Use Plan change does not affect property taxes nor require that you alter how or what you are
currently doing on the property. Further, a Land Use Plan change does not change your zoning. It does provide a
guide, should you ever wish to change the zoning of the property.
The Pulaski County Assessor's Office records show that you own the property described as Plateau
Subdivision Block 11 Lot 9 and located at 415 S. Cedar Street. The current Future Land Use Plan
designation for this property is NC - Neighborhood Commercial. A more appropriate Land Use category for
the piece of property listed above would be PI - Public Institutional . The proposal which will be sent to the
Little Rock Planning Commission August 17, 2000 is to change the Land Use Plan to PI - Public
Institutional for this property. (Please see attached sheet for definitions of land use categories.)
Staff would like to hear from you, either for or against this change (see below). Any comments you have
may be mailed to:
Donna James
723 West Markham
Little Rock, AR 72201
Or FAX (501) 399-3435
Comments will be distributed to the Planning Commission for their consideration. A Public Hearing will
be held on Thursday, August 17 at 4 PM in the Board Chambers, second floor City Hall (500 West
Markham) to consider this change.
Thank you for your time and again please let me hear from you on the propose change to the Future Land
Use Plan.
