RESOLUTION NO. 12,253
3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO
4 EXECUTE A CHANGE ORDER FOR THE DUNBAR COMMUNITY
5 CENTER PROJECT FOR PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION OF NEW
6 BLEACHERS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

8 WHEREAS, the Dunbar Community Center renovation was initiated as a 2004
9 Bond project in December, 2005, and a contract was entered into for an amount not to
10 exceed $1,855,500.00, and
11 WHEREAS, subsequent to execution of the contract, funding for purchase and
12 installation of new bleachers has become available through short -term financing, and
13 WHEREAS, it has been determined that the new bleachers should be installed
14 while the contractor on the project is on the job site in order to coordinate the work of
15 the subcontractors, and
16 WHEREAS, the cost of the bleachers will be in the amount of Sixty -four
17 Thousand, Six Hundred Fifty -six Dollars ($64,656.00);
18 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
19 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
20 Section 1. The Board of Directors authorizes the City Manager to execute a
21 change order to the contract for renovation of the Dunbar Community Center in the
22 amount of Sixty -four Thousand, Six Hundred Fifty -six Dollars ($64,656.00), for the new
23 bleachers at the Dunbar Community Center.
24 Section 2. Funds are available from 2006 Short -term Financing for this project.
25 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence,
26 clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or

To authorize a change order for bleachers for the Dunbar Community Center project
1 unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining
2 portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so
3 declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
4 resolution.
5 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that
6 are inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent
7 of such inconsistency.
