HomeMy WebLinkAbout122481 2 RESOLUTION NO. 12,248 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE OF ONE THOUSAND 5 FIVE HUNDRED (1,500) 90- GALLON SOLID WASTE CONTAINERS 6 AND ISSUE A ONE -YEAR ANNUAL PURCHASE ORDER FOR 7 ADDITIONAL CARTS, IF NEEDED.; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 8 9 WHEREAS, Solid Waste Division must periodically purchase new solid waste 10 containers for delivery to new customers, replace stolen carts, replace damaged carts, 11 and meet the demand for additional carts, and 12 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock received bids for the purchase of the 13 containers, and the lowest responsible and responsive bid meeting minimum 14 specifications was received from Ameri -Kart, Inc., in the amount of Seventy -four 15 Thousand, Seven Hundred Seventy -five Dollars ($74,775.00). 16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF 17 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: 18 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter 19 into a contract for the purchase of one thousand five hundred (1,500) 90- gallon Solid 20 Waste Containers from Ameri -Kart, Inc., for the amount of Seventy -four Thousand, 21 Seven Hundred Seventy -five Dollars ($74,775.00), and to issue a 1 -year annual 22 purchase order for additional carts as needed. 23 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are to be allocated from Account #603 -220- 24 2110 -2160. 25 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, 26 clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or [PAGE 1 OF 21 Resolution To purchase solid waste containers for Solid Waste Division 1 unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining 2 portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so 3 declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the 4 resolution. 5 Section 4. Repealer.
