SUBJECT: STATUS OF LAND USE PLAN REVIEW FOR WARD 1

The Planning and Development Department has been reviewing the Future Land Use Plan for an
area located in Ward 1. After reviewing the area west of I-30 and south of I-630, staff contacted
neighborhood based groups and others for their input on the few `minor' changes for the Future
Land Use Plan in this area. Staff has received several informational calls regarding these
proposed changes, but no requests for additional review or concerns about proposed changes.
The next step in this process is to contact the property owners of the proposed change areas. Staff
will give the property owners a few weeks to respond to staff with comments or concerns before
deciding whether to take this amendment package to the Planning Commission.
The Planning and Development Department just wanted to keep you up to date on this planning
effort in Ward 1 and no action is needed on your part at this time.
