Director Hendrix,
The Planning Department has begun reviewing the Future Land Use Plan by districts. The
first was in the eastern portion of your Ward last year (which Eve Jorgensen contacted you
about previously) and now the second is primarily the western portion of your Ward (west
of I-30 to around Pine/Cedar).
After a review of the area, we have developed a few changes we feel are 'minor' changes to
the future Land Use Plan in this area. These changes have been discussed within the
department, our next step will to contact neighborhood based groups and others for their
comments on the possible changes as well as asking them if they have other changes for the
area. Then later this spring property owners will be notified of a set of potential
changes for comment. Following this, a date for Planning Commission review will be set
later this year.
Attached are several graphics showing the changes staff has developed to date and a list
of Land Use Plan categories. If you have any questions about the changes or process, or
would like to meet with us on this effort, please let us know.
