AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE CITY LAND USE
PLAN (16,222) IN THE ELLIS MOUNTAIN
PLANNING DISTRICT AND THE I-430 PLANNING
DISTRICT ALONG THE KANIS CORRIDOR FROM
SHACKLEFORD ROAD TO CHENAL PARKWAY, AND
FOR OTHER MATTERS.
WHEREAS, a Study Committee was formed and developed
several alternative land use options; and,
WHEREAS, public input was received on the proposals;
and,
WHEREAS, the Little Rock Planning Commission reviewed
the recommendations of the Study Committee; and,
WHEREAS, in order to finalize the study staff reviewed
the alternatives, considering the issues raised during the
study and at the public hearing and provided a
recommendation; and,
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Little
Rock believes it appropriate to change the plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. Change an area of Transition to Service
Trades District with a 50 foot Park Open Space along the west
and south boundaries southwest of the Kanis Road - Bowman Road
intersection.
SECTION 2. Change an area of Multifamily to Suburban
Office, either side of Point West north of Kanis Road.
SECTION 3. Change an area from Transition to Low Density
Residential north of Kanis Road from Atkins to Parkway Place
Drive.
SECTION 4. Change an area from Transition to Suburban
Office, north of Kanis Road from Parkway Place Drive to
Asbury.
SECTION 5. Change an area from Transition and
Neighborhood Commercial to Mixed Office and Commercial north
of Kanis Road from Asbury to west of Kirby Road.
SECTION 6. Change an area from Transition and Low
Density Residential to Single Family, north of Kanis Road from
Pride Valley Road to west of Kirby Road.
SECTION 7. Change an area from .Office and Transition to
Suburban Office south of Kanis Road from Atkins to Gamble
Road.
SECTION 8. Change an area from Transition to Low Density
Residential from Gamble to White Road, south of Kanis Road.
SECTION 9. Change an area from Transition to Suburban
Office from White Road to Asbury, south of Kanis Road.
SECTION 10. Change an area from Neighborhood Commercial
and Transition to Mixed Office Commercial south of Kanis Road
from Asbury to west of Cooper Orbit Road.
SECTION 11. Change an area from Transition to Suburban
Office north of Cooper Orbit and south of Kanis Road.
SECTION 12. Change an area from Transition to Low
Density Residential south of Kanis Road and south of Baker
Lane.
SECTION 13. Change an area from Mixed Office Commercial
to Neighborhood Commercial at the southeast corner of Kanis
Road and Bowman Road.
SECTION 14. Change an area from Suburban Office to
Office to the southwest of the Kanis Road - Centerview Drive
intersection.
SECTION 15. Change an area from Mixed Office Commercial
to Community Shopping south of Kanis Road from Center View
Drive to Shackleford Road.
SECTION 16. The Land Use Plan Map is changed as shown on
the attached sketch maps.
