The Department of Planning and Development has been reviewing the City's Future Land Use Plan in the area between Interstate 630 and Interstate 30, from Interstate 430 to Downtown. This is part of the City's efforts to maintain the Future Land Use Plan for consistency with the likely future development patterns. Proposed changes are a result of discussions and review by city staff, to hopefully reflect a more likely future development pattern in the area - based on activity and changes noted in the recent past. In your area the proposed change is from MCI to STD. Enclosed is a map showing the area of change and a list of the Land Use categories with definitions for your information. Please note that such a change in the Future Land Use Plan does not change the zoning (C-4, Open Display Commercial) taxes or currently allowable uses for your property. Please contact us with any comments to the proposed changes before June 1, 2012. If no response is received, the planning staff will move forward on these changes to the Land Use Plan.
