3 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE LAND USE PLAN (16,222) IN THE
4 AREA SOUTH OF INTERSTATE 630 FROM INTERSTATE 430 TO
5 INTERSTATE 30 (LU12-01); AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

7 WHEREAS, the future Land Use Plan should be reviewed periodically to maintain its accuracy and
8 usefulness, and;
9 WHEREAS, City Staff has reviewed the area in question, considering the existing use and zoning
10 patterns as well as trends in development in the area, and;
1 1 WHEREAS, the Little Rock Planning Commission has reviewed the package of suggested changes
12 and now recommends them for adoption.
13 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
14 OF LITTLE ROCK:
15 Section 1. North of Kanis Road at Labelle Drive, the Land Use Plan is changed from Residential
16 Medium Density to Public Institutional, (Map 1)
17 Section 2. East of John Barrow Road between Labette Drive and Kanis Road, the Land Use Plan is
18 changed from Mixed Office and Commercial to Public Institutional. (Map 2)
19 Section 3. West of John Barrow Road between Morris Manor Drive and Labette Drive, the Land Use
20 Plan is changed from Mixed Office and Commercial to Public Institutional. (Map 3)
21 Section 4. West of Junior Deputy Road at Monette Drive, the Land Use Plan is changed from
22 Park/Open Space to Suburban Office. (Map 4)
2 ' Section 5. In the area between Interstate 430 and Shackleford Road north of 36'x' Street, the Land Use
24 Plan is changed from Mixed Office and Commercial with Special Conditions to Mixed Use. (Map 5)

Section 31. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
word of this ordinance is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the ordinance which shall remain in full force and
effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
ordinance.
Section 32. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same that are inconsistent
with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
