SUBJECT: Permit for 314 East 8th Street
This memo serves as administrative approval from the Little Rock Historic District
Commission (LRHDC) allowing the contractor or property owner of 314 East 8th Street
permission to obtain a building permit. I understand that the permit is to construct a 220 square
foot addition between the sanctuary and education building. Since the structure is located within
the MacArthur Park Historic District, exterior work comes under the LRHDC's jurisdiction. The
proposed project was before the LRHDC at their 3 August meeting and was approved with
conditions. As such, and meeting all city, building and health regulations, the application for a
permit should be approved. If exterior changes are made that are contrary to the LRHDC's
approval, the applicant will notify staff and appropriate actions taken.
