Please reference previous memorandums dated 1/23/98 and 3/10/98. Subsequently, I met
again with Mike Pinner and Jerry Fitzpatrick at the site and performed a floodway delineation
of the property, utilizing GIS topographic data and map features, and the 1993 FIRM. A
copy of that delineation is attached for your use.
As you can see, the north portion of the property is within the 100 -year floodplain - but not
the floodway - of Little Fourche Creek. Floodplain development criteria apply, including
minimum floor elevations, but not the more stringent floodway development criteria.
Particularly, no hydraulic study is necessary if the applicant can work within the existing
floodplain and avoid further floodway development.
