As president of SWLRUP, we would like you to take a look at the proposed land
use plan amendments as shown on the accompanying maps. These will go to
the Plans committee on Wednesday, November 7th and on to the Planning
Commission on November 29, 2001.
These amendments are a result of the Report on South Geyer Springs. We had
attempted to start a neighborhood plan in that area, but did not have enough
citizen or neighborhood association participation to continue with a full-fledged
neighborhood action plan. The plan changes are primarily to recognize existing
conditions and to remove the "Area for Future Study" areas at the intersections of
the South Loop with Geyer Springs and Chicot Roads.
Please call me at your convenience to discuss this. I will be out on Monday and
Tuesday of this week, but you may talk to Walter on those days. Of course, Plans
committee meetings are public meetings, and you are welcome to attend next
Wednesday.
We would appreciate your input and possible endorsement of the proposed
changes.
