West Planning District - Johnson Lane east of Heinke Road to Mixed Use. I am writing this letter as Secretary of the Legion, Hut Neighborhood AssociatiorL The Association was not notified of this land, use change, but it is very close to the area requesting the Land Use change_ The Land. Use change was discussed at the August meeting and the neighborhood was against commercial development at that location. The area is.residential in nature and the streets will not support commercial traffic in the area. I understand the applicants desire to 'work near home and care for an elderly parent Tltemfore I am not opposing the Land Use change, but don't think commercial developutent is appropriate for the area. The staff update Writ, the September 17,1998, agenda notes the applicant plans to Wood working shop and store and possible residential use. I am vary opposed to any use of the property that would create any additional nan-residential traffic to the area.
