3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH FLEMING ELECTRIC, INC. AND
5 STALEY, INC., TO PERFORM OVERFLOW ELECTR�CAL REPAIRS;
6 AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

8 WHEREAS, the City's Building Services Division has two vacant Electrician
9 positions, which prevents electrical repair needs of the City facilities being met in a
10 timely fashion, and
11 WHEREAS, it has been found to be more economically feasible to handle
12 overflow repairs by contract, and
13 WHEREAS, an invitation to bid on an annual contract, under Bid No. C05032,
14 was issued to supply electricians on an hourly basis when the limited City staff cannot
15 respond in a timely manner, and Fleming Electric, Inc. submitted the most responsible
16 and responsive bid and would be the primary contractor for tl�is purpose, and Staley,
17 Inc. submitted the second most responsible and responsive bid and would be the
18 secondary contractor.
19 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
20 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
21 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter
22 into a contract to provide overflow electrical repairs with Fleming Electric, Inc. , as
23 primary contractor, and Staley, Inc., as secondary contractor, for estimated costs of
24 Eighty-three Thousand, Nine Hundred Dollars ($83,900.00) and Ninety-one Thousand,
25 Three Hundred Dollars ($91,300.00), respectively, depending upon the amount of hours
26 and parts required.

1 Section 2. Funds are available from Acct. #100-220-2370-3010.
2 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence,
3 clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjuaged to be invalid or
4 unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining
5 portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so
6 declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
7 resolution.
8 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that
9 are inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent
10 of such inconsistency.
