Rock Street Little Rock, AR 72202 RE: Kempner House, 522 S. Rock St., Little Rock, PU2797 Dear Ms. Smith, I am writing to follow up on our email correspondence regarding your plans for the relocation of HVAC equipment at 521 S. Rock Street. The Arkansas Historic Preservation Program holds a perpetual preservation easement on this property which makes us a partner in preservation decisions concerning alterations to the site. From review of the photos and specifications you provided (see attached) it does not appear any significant effect on sight lines or damage to any historically significant feature of the property will result from the relocation as proposed. In consequence of this finding, I gave informal authorization under the terms of the easement for the removal and relocation of the HVAC equipment by email on August 18, 2020. This letter serves as formal confirmation of that approval for your records. Thank you for being a good steward of this important historic resource and letting us partner with you in its preservation. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me at catherine.barrier@arkansas.gov or 501.324.9186. All will be set on concrete pads.       Current view from 6th street – I am sure the apartment tenants will appreciate less noise under their window; marked where new units will go.                 Sherrie Smith Office Manager DD&F Consulting Group ssmith@ddfconsulting.com o: 501.374.2600 f: 501.374.3639 521 South Rock Street Little Rock, AR 72202 ddfconsulting.com
