Dear Commissioners:
The Quapaw Quarter Association recommends that the Historic District
Commission grant the application of St. 'Edward's School for a
Certificate of Appropriateness.
We believe that the applicant's plan is compatible with the neighbor-
hood, and that the introduction of ramps for handicapped access will
not seriously affect the integrity of the structure.

Certificate of Appropriateness
Dear Ms. Satterfield:
Thank you for the opportunity to comment on the referenced Certificate of
Appropriateness application.
We have reviewed the project and it is our opinion the proposed repair work
A=k to the main building, if performed in a sympathetic manner, should receive
a Certificate of Appropriateness. It is our opinion that the rear detached
building is not a contributing structure to the MacArthur Park Historic
District and we therefore do not oppose its demolition.
