Markham Little Rock, AR 72201 VIA HAND DELIVERY SUBJECT: Land Use Application to ✓(1) Amend Land Use Plan (2) Rezone to 0-2 60 acres (more or less) acres, Pride Valley Road Dear Tony: Applications have been filed today to (1) amend the Master Land Use Plan from Low Density Residential to Office; and (2) zone to the 0-2 Classification a 60 acres (more or less) tract of land fronting Pride Valley Road (the "Property"). Robert Brown, of Development Consultants Incorporated ("DCI") and I have been authorized in writing to represent the ownership in this matter. All of the required documentation including the filing fees was submitted today. As you know, a meeting has been scheduled for 8:30 on Wednesday to brief you and your staff about the circumstances surrounding these applications. At Wednesday's meeting we will discuss the applications in detail. We will also discuss the rationale behind them, which includes the intent of a major local office employer to construct a significant campus style office complex on part of the Property. Representatives of this major local office employer will join us at Wednesday's meeting. We are aware that it will be necessary to annex the Property before the zoning can be finalized. Our plan is to initiate the annexation process with Judge Villines as soon as possible. The time constraints faced by the major local office employer are the reason why we have chosen to move forward in this sequence and we will address this in more detail on Wednesday. Letter to Mr. Tony Bozyneski Page 2 February 1, 2010 Robert Brown and I are looking forward to working with you and your staff regarding these applications.
