RECOMMENDATION CITIZEN PARTICIPATION BACKGROUND Action Req Ordinance Resolution Approval Information Report Submitted By Cy Carney City Manager Land Use Plan amendment in the Ellis Mountain Planning District from Low Density Residential, Mixed Office Commercial and Neighborhood Commercial to Single Family. This revocation of the Land Use Plan amendments coincides with the revocation of the Planned Residential District for Brodie Creek Subdivision. This Land use Plan amendment was not a separate item on the Planning commission agenda but it in conjunction with the Revocation of the Brodie Creek PRD. Planning Staff recommends approval. Planning Commission recommended approval on February 8, 2001 (7-0-3-1 in favor). Notices were sent to the following neighborhood associations: Spring Valley Manor Property Owners Association, Parkway Place Property Owners Association, Gibralter/Pt. West/Timber Ridge. The Land Use Plan was amended to recognize the proposed town centers to be located in the Brodie Creek as part of the Planned Residential Development. Now that the PRD is being revoked, it no longer makes sense to continue to recognize uses on the Future Land Use Plan that are no longer proposed. The new subdivision, The Woodlands, will have only single family uses in the subdivision, and therefore it is reasonable to remove those other uses from the Future Land Use Plan.
