I admit that I had the date wrong; I remembered it as having been earlier than this, but nevertheless, here it is. Call me if this raises any new questions in your mind and if we can visit further about the Deltic requests. M. C'Deltic") agreed in 1980 to a request from the `t Pulaski County Special School District (the "District') to swap 1 t' 20 6 tracts of land in order to accommodate an expansion of the Joe T. Robinson Middle and High School campus; and :r WHWAS: The land Deltic received was subject to a rent free lease of spores fields used by the Highway 10 Community Association and a gymnasiurrr and road used by Joe T. Robinson Middle School; and WHERE -AS: beltic, since agreeing in 1980 to the request from the District, has received no rent or other revenue from the land it received, nor has Deltic been able to utilize such land for development or other revenue generating activities; and WHER9AS: Deltic has agreed to subsequent requests of the Highway 10 Community Association and the District, respectively, to extend the rent-free occupancy of the land on a number of occasions, the more recent extension of which occurring in December 2004 and July 2004; and WHEREAS: Deltic also agreed to a request made by the District on March 23, 2005, for extension of the gymnasium lease that allows .doe T. Robinson Middle School to use the gymnasium and the road until December 2005, which use has now been extended until May 15, 2006. Now therefore, be it resolved by the Pulaski County Special School District Board of Education that: The Hoard hereby extends its appreciation to Deltic for allowing the occupancy and use of the gymnasium and the road by the Joe T. Robinson Middle School for the past 25 years; and that The Board recognizes the need for Wtic, a publicly owned company, to improve and add value to the land owned by the company along the developing Highway 10 rorridor; and that The Board hereby evidences its suppert of the rezoning of the sports fields and gymnasium land upon the termination of the lease agreement with Deltic Timber Corporatlon on May 15, 2005 to it's highest and best use, provided said rezoning to be limited to either G1 (neighborhood commercial district:), C-2 (shopping center district) or C-3 (general commercial disb•ict) designations.
