Thank you for taking the time to meet with John Lile and myself regarding the proposed changes to the
current Land Use Plan along Kanis Road in western Little Rock, Arkansas. As we discussed, TNC-LLC
and John and Pat Lile currently own property on the southwest corner of the intersection of Kanis and
Edswood Roads, in Little Rock, Arkansas. The proposed Land Use Plan amendments would change the
subject property from commercial ("C") to neighborhood commercial ("NC").
As we discussed, the current Land Use Plan calls for Rahling Road to eventually connect to Kanis Road at
or near its intersection with Edswood Road. Furthermore, the plan calls for Edswood Road to continue
southward as a major arterial to Colonel Glenn Road. At some point, this would seem to make the
Rahling/Kanis/Edswood intersection a major intersection in west Little Rock. Therefore, we feel that the
Land Use Plan should continue to list the property as commercial instead of the proposed change to
neighborhood commercial.
