Dear Ms. Bell:
On February 15, 2007, you spoke against a request to amend the Land Use Plan along
Kanis Road, west of Denny Road from Single Family to Neighborhood Commercial.
The Planning Commission failed to approve the request by a vote of 5 for and 4 against.
The applicant has filed an appeal of the Commission's action and the Little Rock Board
of Directors has set a hearing on the appeal for May 15, 2007 at 6 PM.
At this time the Little Rock Board of Directors shall take comments on whether to
overturn the Planning Commission's action and approve the Land Use Plan Amendment.
You are welcome to attend the Board meeting on Thursday May 15th and present your
reasons why they should or should not take this action. The Board of Directors meets on
the second floor of City Hall, 500 West Markham. This is the same location of the
Planning Commission meeting you attended on February 15, 2007.
